The Beauty of Spring and of a Son Who Loves His Mama

Keith has been letting me know for days that I should get out there and take pictures of the apple blossoms. Each day with a gentle reminder," You won't want to miss it , Mom." It has made me feel so loved. He knows how much I love to take pictures. He also knows that last year I missed them and was very sad.  This has warmed my heart in such a special way!! So last night I went out and captured this beauty with such joy in my heart. Keith was at Stockade Club or I would have bribed him to be in the pictures.
So instead , it was date night with Sawyer. He went and stole a stick form the neighbors. He is a klepto. So glad it wasn't a shoe. LOL In between shots I would throw the stick as far as I could.
The daffodils posed wonderfully for me.
These are my favorites. I had such a wonderful time feeling loved every click of the way!!! What a blessing Keith is to me.
I am off to do it again and this time Keith is at Baseball practice.****sigh**** It is amazing what this beautiful day has done for those blossoms.

Sew Much Fun!!

Livy and I have been wanting to take a day to sew for so long. I finally picked a day and said, " Anything that does not get done before noon can wait and the rest of the day we will sew." A couple of days before we headed to Tunkhannock . I have been seeking out donations for the Spaghetti Dinner we are having to raise money for my mission trip to Africa in July. What a great excuse to go to the quilt shop down there. No donation as of yet but boy did we have fun and the owner was so helpful!! We found the cutest pattern for aprons and we decided that we would make those to put in a basket for the silent auction. We were able to find awesome fabric in the clearence section.  A few days later we called Grandma to see if Olivia could borrow a sewing machine for the day. Grandma gave Olivia this sewing machine. We were both sooo excited!!! So to work we went getting the feel for the machine.
It wasn't long and Livy had to meet Mr. Seem Ripper. I assured her it would not be the first time. LOL  I have spent plenty of time w/ him and still do.
Poor girl!! The thread kept getting all bound up. We persevered and worked through. I so remembered my struggles in the beginning and how frustarted I would get.I still struggle but I just don't get as frustrated.LOL But, oh how I love to sew!!

We did have so much fun  and by the end of the night we had ourselves an apron. WOOO HOOOO!!

Are you ready????

It is very cute!!!

It could be yours!!

A Long but Blessed Day

This was a very crazy day but in the end I felt so  blessed !!  It started with a denist appt. for Jonah and then it was to Applebees for our Dining to Donate Fundraiser. I will be sharing more about that on the blog I had created just for the purpose of sharing about my journey to Africa. http://www.jjsjourneytoafrica.blogspot.com/ I thought it needed it's own special spot. :0) After lunch we met up w/ my friend ,Val and went to the park.  It was so nice to get to spend time with her and Madigan though it was ever so short. We take what we can get. Keith spent his time hiding from the camera. So if you ever wonder if I have forgotten about my son Keith....think again . He is a stinker. I have to usually threaten a grounding or something to get his picture. Hey, he is being unkind to his Mama;keeping her from doing what she loves!!! He should be grounded. LOL
Jonah decides to help me!!! Mwahaha we had him corrnered!!
And of course , Maddie and Jonah got to play. They make me laugh. What a hoot to watch them. I just love her to pieces!! And so does Jonah.:0)
Jonah just got hurt and Madigan ran to the rescue! She is amazing!! Not only will she be able to keep him in line but she will take care of him as well. Oh, the blessing of a good friend!!!
Mwahahaha I got him!!! And boy does he look adorable. I love this shot!! He looks so little!!

Date Night with Jonah

Livy was at a birthday party , Keith and daddy were at baseball practice.....what to do ,what to do?? I decided that it was a perfect night to get some one on one time with Jonah. My good friend, Lara shared that there was a puppet show that the Library was putting on. So, off we went to meet  up w/ our fun friends and meet Steve Abrams and his wonderful friends. We had so much fun as they shared the Aesop Fables with us!!
This one below is blurry but I love it anyway! ;0) It shows how much fun the kids were having.
Wish I could remeber this guys name. Jonah loved him!
Steve was teaching the kids how to make puppets and how they work. My friend Lara decides to give it a try. LOL She makes me laugh!! I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this shot!!! Hee hehee I bet she will be thrilled it is on my blog!
Jonah neede to hug this guy before we left. :0)  I had a blast w/ my little guy!!
All night I was calling this a date  and Jonah would growl at me and say," It is not a date!!" Then we got home and I told his daddyy we went on a date. His daddy said, " WHAT ?? What were you doing taking my wife out on a date?" Well, then Jonah liked that I called it a date and kept reminding his daddy that we went out on a date. Oh how he would laugh as daddy would get after him. This  one has made me so tired this week and I must confess frustrated but oh how I love him to pieces!!!!

Dance Recital 2010

I didn't knock myself out trying to get a bunch of shots this year. I am not usually happy w/ the shots I get while they are performing.  So, I decided to sit back, relax and enjoy the show. I did use my camera some though...of course I had to.
Look at that hair!! LOVE IT!!! Aunt Laura came down and spent almost 2 hours curling her hair w/ a teeny, tiny curling iron. We struggle getting a curl to stay in that thick hair of hers. Until she was about 1 1/2 she had the curliest hair. You would never know it now.How do you marry my man and not have curly headed children anyway??? LOL Well, she is beautiful w/ any kind of hair. We did love those curls though. Thank you Aunt Laura!!!
I was able to get some shots of the little ones. YAY!!! They are so stinkin cute. The one on the right is one of Jonahs little friends!! :0) Whenever I see the little ones, I remember Livy's first year and get all emotional. It feels like it was just yesterday. I still remember the song...." My name is Spunky the Monkey and I have a strange tale to tell.... something ,something ... I remember it so well." Ok, so I almost remember it.
This little one on the left stole the show and made everyone cry. Tearing up as I write. This sweet one has been battling cancer. The one next to her is her sister. It was a beautiful and most precious thing to watch these two dance. Please pray for Emily.

Something about this shot below that I love!. I love that both Grandmas are in it . I love their smiles.
This is  Olivia's 7th year in this programso she got to receive a trophy.
I was trying to get a shot of Livy but the little ham kept getting in the shot.
I LOVE this one!! Look at her feet. I used to stand this way whenever I was nervous. This is before the show. Another wonderful recital :0)
